A beautiful vintage interpretation of one of Chanel's most recognisable silhouettes, this Chanel Vintage Medium Classic Chevron Double Flap Bag is crafted in deep navy lambskin leather with distinctive chevron quilting and 24K gold-plated hardware.

The front is finished with the signature interlocking CC turn-lock, while the leather-interwoven chain strap allows the bag to sit elegantly on the shoulder.

A comparable Chanel Double Flap Bag, or a newer Chanel 11.12, would retail for approximately £9,000 today.

Dating to circa 1994–1996, this example has the desirable proportions and detailing associated with Chanel's 1990s Classic Flap production. Its serial number begins with 3, consistent with Chanel's 3-series production generally dated to 1994–1996.

Condition

Great vintage condition, particularly considering the bag's circa 1994–1996 production.

There are visible rubbing marks to the base corners, together with creasing to the rear base and front flap of the exterior lambskin. The leather displays further natural signs of age and previous use, as shown in the photographs.

The gold-plated hardware remains beautifully presented with light surface scratching. The burgundy leather interior and double-flap area show light marking and signs of previous use, consistent with the age of the bag.

The bag could also be considered for renovation through the Chanel Spa.
