Chanel Gabrielle Maxi Hobo Bag in Quilted Navy Calfskin | Authentic Preloved

A striking Chanel Gabrielle Maxi Hobo Bag, crafted in quilted navy aged calfskin with contrasting black leather handles and a structured black leather base. Introduced for Spring/Summer 2017, the Gabrielle was created under Karl Lagerfeld and named in tribute to Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel. Chanel itself described the design as combining a lightweight body with a rigid base, while its distinctive double-chain strap mixes leather with contrasting metal finishes.

This example features the signature diamond-quilted navy body, black leather trim, double top handles and the Gabrielle's distinctive mixed gold-tone and ruthenium/silver-tone hardware. The long leather-woven chain strap allows the bag to be carried in several ways, while the spacious red textile-lined interior makes the Large particularly practical for everyday use.

Authenticity & Provenance

Serial Number: 24281053 – 24 Series, dating the bag to 2017–2018.

Importantly, the serial number shown in the photographs dates this bag to 2017–2018, rather than 2015–2016. Chanel's Gabrielle bag itself was first introduced for Spring/Summer 2017, so a 2015–2016 date would pre-date the model's launch. Rebag's Chanel serial reference places 24-series numbers in 2017–2018, while comparable Gabrielle bags with 24-series numbers are likewise dated to this period.  v3,

Authenticity is further supported by the period-correct serial sticker and matching card, CHANEL Made in Italy interior branding, quilted aged calfskin construction, structured base, CC-engraved hardware, interlocking CC charm, mixed-metal leather-woven chain and the construction details associated with the Gabrielle line. A serial number is one component of authentication and should always be considered alongside the construction, materials and branding of the bag.
