Christian Dior Dioraddict Medium Top Handle Bag in Black Calfskin

Introduced for Dior's Pre-Fall 2017 RTW collection, the Dioraddict was one of the new handbag lines launched under Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior's first female Creative Director. The collection included several Dioraddict silhouettes, including the top handle, flap, lockbox and wallet-on-chain, all united by a distinctive metal clasp inspired by vintage trunks. 

Crafted in smooth black calfskin with gold-tone hardware, this structured top-handle design is distinguished by its architectural silhouette and statement DIOR clasp to the front. The bag is finished with a leather top handle, protective metal feet and a clochette, while the removable shoulder strap allows it to be carried by hand or worn over the shoulder. The interior is lined in black suede and arranged with practical pockets. 

Condition

Great condition.

There are only very light surface marks to the front, back and bottom of the exterior, together with a small indentation to the right side of the front exterior (see photos).

There is very minor rubbing to the corners and very light surface scratching to the gold-tone hardware, consistent with careful use. The clochette strap is slightly frayed but this is unnoticeable when worn. The interior is clean and well presented.

The bag comes with a LegitGrails Certificate of Authenticity.

Serial number / date code: 01-RU-0177.

The date portion 0177 corresponds to July 2017 under the commonly used interpretation of Dior's date-code format, which is consistent with this bag's introduction for Pre-Fall 2017. The Dioraddict line was launched that season under Maria Grazia Chiuri, who had become Dior's Artistic Director of Women's Collections in 2016. Contemporary reporting specifically identifies the Dioraddict as a new Fall/Pre-Fall 2017 design under Chiuri.
